We hope to see you at each of our in-person events. Networking within our community is a huge part of our mission. Past events have been held at The Driftwood Shores Resort, Riverhouse on the Deschutes, FivePine Lodge & The Oregon Garden, among others. Don't forget to fill out your conference/event survey when you attend so that you can tell us where you want us to consider going next, and what topics are most relevant to you! The 2018 Annual OR-PRIMA Conference will be held October 3 - 5 at Mt. Bachelor Village in Bend.  We have great speakers lined up for you including a keynote on communication and former National PRIMA and PERI Director, Michael Fann, will talk about the ten most critical risk management issues for our entities.  Our Wednesday opening session is one you definitely don't want to miss as you will learn how to implement ERM and build organizational resilience.  The rest of our exciting sessions include: Pre-escalation-Improving Interactions with Distressed Individuals; Best Practices in Risk Management; Elements of an Investigation; Blurred Lines-Sorting Out Personal vs. Work-Related Exposures; Managing Liability Risks of Employee Drivers; When Fido Comes to Work-Employers, Employees and Service Animals; Preventing Sex Abuse in Schools; and our annual legal update.

As in years past, Thursday night's dinner and entertainment is included as part of the registration (by popular demand we are continuing with the Casino Night tradition).

This year we will also be bringing back the fun run/walk which will take place Thursday morning at 7:00AM.  This non-competitive 3-mile run/walk will get you physically and mentally ready for the sessions on Thursday as you take in the beautiful high desert scenery around the Deschutes River.  Meet at the registration desk at 7:00AM to partcipate.  No need to signup.

Guests
Spouses and guests of registered attendees may attend Thursday evening’s reception, dinner, and entertainment for a fee of $50. All guests must be registered and are required to wear a name badge to participate in the festivities.

Registration Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend, we encourage you to send a substitute. If you cannot send a substitute and your registration was paid, OR-PRIMA will refund 100% of your registration fee if written notice is received by September 19, 2018.  If your cancellation is received after that date the refund will be reduced by 50% and no refund will be given for cancellations received after September 26.  This is necessitated by the requirement that we pay for the head count we report to the venue prior to the conference.  If your registration was not paid and you cancel after September 26, OR-PRIMA will bill the balance due. Please send cancellation notices to Treasurer Rob Gabris.

GUESTROOM RESERVATIONS
As of August 30th the only remaining rooms at Mt. Bachelor are 2 bedroom suites and 2 bed/2bath units.  OR-PRIMA has negotiated a group rate of $112.00 per night (plus tax and service fee) for accommodations and this rate includes the cleaning fee. To receive the discounted rate, reservations must be made by September 2, 2018.  Reservations after that date will be accepted on a rate and availability basis.  To make your reservation call 877-394-8966 and reference group code 311290.  If you book your room without using the group code the rate is $105 (plus tax and service fee) but you will also be charged a $70 cleaning fee.

OR-PRIMA has also arranged for overflow lodging at the Best Western Peppertree Inn.  The government per diem rate is $112 plus tax with goverment ID.   All rates are based on availability.  Guests should call (541) 3896-8800 and mention "Oregon PRIMA" to get the special rate.

RISK ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
Don't forget to submit your nomination for the 5th annual Risk Achievement Award. Information and the application can be found on our webpage under the Awards tab. Please submit the application no later than August 31, 2018 to [email protected].

RISK MANAGEMENT CERTIFICATION

All sessions qualify for credit towards the Risk Management Certification.  Come take advantage of the opportunity to move closer to receipt of your certification.  See the agenda for more information on which sessions apply toward which credits and join us in celebrating several new graduates of the program this year at the conference.
