Oregon PRIMA Annual Conference
The 2017 Annual OR-PRIMA Conference will be held September 27-29 at Salishan Lodge in Gleneden Beach.  We have great speakers lined up for you including a keynote on leadership and National PRIMA Past-President, Regan Rychetsky, will talk about practical planning and response protocols for workplace violence.  We are still wrapping up some final details on some of the remaining sessions but, as of today, the session topics include: behavioral wellness of first responders; drones; the intersection of national healthcare, WC, and its impact on an aging workforce; best practices in new employee orientation, WC algorithms, thinking outisde the black box forensics with air bag modules; risk and insurance issues for automated vehicles; and a case law update.  The agenda will be finalized and published soon.

As in years past, Thursday night's dinner and entertainment is included as part of the registration (by popular demand we are bringing back Casino Night).

Spouses and guests of registered attendees may attend Thursday evening’s reception, dinner, and entertainment for a fee of $50. All guests must be registered and are required to wear a name badge to participate in the festivities.

Registration Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend, we encourage you to send a substitute. If you cannot send a substitute and your registration was paid, OR-PRIMA will refund 100% of your registration fee if written notice is received by September 16, 2017.  If your cancellation is received after that date the refund will be reduced by 50% and no refund will be given for cancellations received after September 23.  This is necessitated by the requirement that we pay for the head count we report to the venue prior to the conference.  If your registration was not paid and you cancel after September 16, OR-PRIMA will bill the balance due. GUESTROOM RESERVATIONS
OR-PRIMA has negotiated a group rate of $97.00 per night (plus tax and service fee) for one bedroom accommodations. To receive the discounted rate, reservations must be made by 5:00p.m., Monday, September 5, 2017.

Guests can simply go to www.salishan.com and click on “Check Availability.” From there, enter your check in and check out dates, along with the group code, and then click on “Modify.”   Please make sure and use the booking code PRIMA17 to get the discounted rate.  The online booking is a convenience for those staying during the days of the conference, but for those doing anything different – say, arriving September 26 or earlier, or staying September 29 or later, it might be best to call in the reservation, 1-800-452-2300.   

Please note that the current tax rate is 11.8% and the resort service fee is $9.50, both of which will be added in to the room rates quoted online.  

RISK ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

RISK MANAGEMENT CERTIFICATION 
There are several sessions that qualify for credit towards the Risk Management Certification.  Come take advantage of the opportunity to move closer to receipt of your certification.  See the agenda for more information on which sessions apply toward which credits and join us in celebrating several new graduates of the program this year at the conference.
